It’s been over two years, and we missed seeing faces in person at the Senior Planet Center in Denver, Colorado – but we’re back!
Some of you may only be familiar with Senior Planet because of our online classes and programs (see here). However, pre-pandemic, we operated walk-in centers in six locations.
And now we can finally announce the reopening of our center in Denver Colorado!
“It’s hard to believe that Senior Planet closed its doors due to Covid over two years ago!” says Aaron A. Sanis, Program Lead Senior Planet in Colorado. “I am excited to see our center come back to life this summer with the help of our new Center Manager, Faith Akinbohun!
“We are excited to make our space a destination once again, a place where people can learn and build community.”
“We are excited to make our space a destination once again, a place where people can learn and build community. I suggest volunteering at the center to be a part of the excitement and growth!”

The only physical location offered for Denver AARP members is very inconvenient for the majority of people living in central, north, west and south Denver. I am wondering why a more geographically accessible location was not selected.
I also agree with the comment above suggesting that virtual programs be continued so that more people could benefit from these AARP offerings.
Please keep virtual programs. It is not possible to attend in Person for many of us. thank you.
