In celebration of World Photography Week, August 14 – 20, Senior Planet from AARP will host a series of free Photography-related virtual events, including photography-focused classes and a Photography Showcase highlighting the photos of users from the Senior Planet Community group Fun with Photography, and the announcement of the Instagram Photo Challenge winner!
Special Event: Photography Showcase with SPC
On Thursday, August 17, the Photography showcase event will highlight the photo skills and work of older adults from the Fun with Photography group on Senior Planet Community (SPC), a social media platform Senior Planet runs. A few platform users will share their photographs in a virtual art show format and discuss how photography can help capture the beautiful moments and things around us, foster creativity and imagination, form community, and create opportunities to be more active.
